Operation Write Home - sketch B19
Topic: Sketch Challenge

I love a good pun used on a card. I got to indulge myself on OWH bonus sketch 19:


I had to do a little adjusting to accomodate the balloons on the gold peel-off sticker but it is still in the spirit of the design. I placed the sticker on shimmer paper and used a craft knife to cut away the portions inside the balloons. These were backed with different colors of shimmer paper before the whole piece was mounted on a white base card.

On the same sticker sheet was the text phrase I used. It is hard to read in the photo - it says 'Fishing you a happy birthday'.


The lower piece of paper serves as the 'table' so it is appropriate that it is visible through the 'water' in the bowl.
