Hearts in 3D
Topic: 3D paperwork

This 3D image is from the 'Fred She Said' blog. I turned the layers by 45 degrees to add even more depth. Layers of printed papers and plain cardstock echo the colors in the image.

I left a blank lower corner so a greeting could be added at the time the occasion for sending is selected.

Dots Everywhere
Topic: Scrap Recovery

Dots on the background echo the dots in the illustration and is repeated in the brad centers in the fabric flowers.

This image is from the stamp catalog and colored with watercolor markers.

I Miss Shoe
Topic: Scrap Recovery

Oooooh, neat illustration - from the stamp catalog. Oooooh, neat background paper - from a pad with diecut edges. Oooooh, cute text - created from bubble letter stickers.

The rest is just a way to hold it all together.

Far Far Away
Topic: Stamping

HA! I stamped it myself!

I also colored with watercol pencils and blended with an aquabrush.

Rounded corners, layers of printed papers, a purple cardstock base.

A combination of cardstock stickers for a message...

Think Again
Topic: Scrap Recovery

With a stamp catalog image that is all about the message there is no need to add more text to this card. I simply added papers in colors to complement the image and popped it up on foam dots.

Rounding the corners of the image and the papers I then added a yellow folded card base. Three fabric flowers are the finishing touch.

Pop Top
Topic: Stamping

With the gift of a stamped image I colored up and created this Father's Day card. The elements were justified on the left and mounted to navy blue folded card as a base.

I used letter stickers to create the text.

I Love You Forever
Topic: Scrap Recovery

Back to the stamp catalog (was this a good deal at Goodwill or what?) I think this little guy is so cute in his overalls, polo and ball cap. I colored him up with watercolor markers and mounted him over some printed cardstock.

The folded card base was selected to match the hat and stripes of the shirt.

Text is a rub-on with hand-written word underneath.

You Make My Heart Happy
Topic: Collage

I really like how this card turned out. The image is from the stamp catalog and is popped up on foam tape. I used scrapbook papers for the blue stripes and the pink dot paper. I threaded ribbon through the slot in a printed tag and used it for the border between the papers. A second tag is glued to the bouquet.

The three stripes of stitching are a new rub-on 'runner' that I picked up (at 75% off).

What's The Buzz?
Topic: Stamping

Yep, really stamped. Nope, I didn't stamp it. I received the image in a swap. But I did color it my very own self. LOL! I used an embossed cardstock as a background and a colorful strip of stripes.

I added the text with acrylic bubble letters to read, "What's the buzz."

Remember Blessings
Topic: Scrap Recovery

Combining the popular romantic elements of Chocolate and Roses this card features an image from the stamp catalog and colored up with watercolor markers. I mounted on chocolate colored printed cardstock and made slits to tie the ribbon around the stem.

After backing with a rose-colored folded card base I added the 'remember' sticker and a 'blessings' sticker that is a folded tab. It looks the same on the inside of the card.

God Is Love
Topic: Paper Embroidery

After stamping and coloring this image I decided to add a stitched corner element. I used an embossed sheet as a background and layered it over a blue panel and a folded yellow card.

The text is provided by a clear sticker.

Me Missing You
Topic: Scrap Recovery

Wish I owned this stamp instead of just cutting it out of the catalog for coloring with watercolor markers. I got the background from a new printed cardstock pad and loved the layout as well as the color match.

I used a combination of stickers for the text :This Is Me Missing You."

Today We Explore
Topic: Scrap Recovery

Colored up this image from the stamp catalog and trimmed with a craft knife. A new pad of printed cardstock was the source for the background and I chose red for the folded card base.

The text is provided by stickers.

Baroque Rose
Topic: 3D paperwork

I love how these elements came together. The rose is one of the foil 3Ds and the two layers of Spellbinder frames were received in a swap. I had a years-old scrapbook page-a-day calender that yielded the baroque background

I added photo corners and placed all on tan folded cardstock.

The New Queen
Topic: Scrap Recovery

One of my groups names a Queen of the Month who collects goodies from all the others in the drawing. I found this illustration in some advertising and set out to find matching cardstock for mounting. The corners were rounded and the salmon is mounted 3D over the lavender.

The letter stickers being a match was just a happy accident, as was the braided trim.

Scrappy Dragonfly
Topic: Scrap Recovery

I stamped the yellow base card with burgundy ink and layered on elements from the scraps on my desktop: dragonfly sticker torn off a recent package I received, stamped panel was a test of a new stamp, yellow lacy border is trim fron a diecut sheet, red-white-brown are all one layer and is trimmed off of the cover of a pack of printed cardstock.

Waste not - want not!

Spring Flower
Topic: 3D paperwork

I decided to do another spring-up card to reinforce the steps and measurements in my head. For this one I added printed scrapbook papers to the face and the base and then featured a 3D element.

I may have to do more of these - really simple.

Spring Quilt
Topic: Paper Embroidery

ASSIGNMENT: Make a spring-up card combined with paper embroidery.

I chose to stitch another of the quilt designs and it fits this card structure very well since it is a square format.

This is the first springup card I've made. I added printed papers behind the image and on the base to tie it all together.

Red on Red
Topic: 3D paperwork

This 3D image is one I printed some time ago off the internet on a free site. I like how the image escapes its frame - and I trimmed off the outer border of the frame to make it fit the card better.

I added a rich red printed paper over the green card base to further enhance the card.

The text is gold peel-off

Love Those Pansies
Topic: 3D paperwork

I think these may be the last of the foil 3D sheets I bought last fall. Love them! Especially since they are punch out instead of cut out.

This one comes with the oval backing which helps with design. I tore a piece of printed paper for the left edge and added the image along with two extra flowers that were part of the page.

Purple folded cardstock and a silver peel-off greeting were the only other touches needed.
